Antibiotic eye prophylaxis for newborns: using the topical erythromycin shortage as an opportunity to reflect on practice evolution.

      Between 2019 - 2022, a shortage of topical erythromycin ointment for the prevention of ophthalmia neonatorum (ON) led to province-wide practice changes in Ontario regarding antibiotic eye prophylaxis for newborns.
