How to Submit to the JOGC

Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada (JOGC) publishes original articles and literature reviews
in the areas of gynaecology, obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology, gynaecologic oncology, women's health, maternal fetal medicine, urogynaecology, ethical and legal issues as well as education. Only exclusive submissions will be considered for publication.

 

Manuscripts

Please submit your manuscript through Manuscript Central at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jogc.

Figures and charts should be submitted in the software that they were created in, for example Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word (objects created with the draw tools), Corel Draw PC version, Corel Photo Paint, Adobe Photoshop PC version. Other acceptable formats are .eps, .tif (300 dpi photographs without text), .jpg (300 dpi), gif (300 dpi).

Case Reports and Image of the Month

For Case Reports and Image of the Month submissions, patients must provide written consent to publication; however, to protect patient privacy, the authors should not send completed forms to JOGC. Instead, they must send only a signed copy of the Author Confirmation of Patient Consent Form to the JOGC.

Letters to the Editor

We welcome letters, including those written in response to articles, guidelines, or policy statements published in recent issues of JOGC.

  • All Letters to the Editor must be submitted through Manuscript Central at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jogc
  • should not exceed 600 words
  • should have no more than five references and one figure or table
  • will be edited for length and clarity
  • will usually be considered for publication only if received within four weeks of the publication of the original article.

Letters Responding
to a Recently Published Article

Letters in response to a recently published article will be sent to the author(s) of the original article, who will be invited to make a response for publication. These letters will usually be considered only if received within four weeks of the publication of the original article. All letters must be submitted through Manuscript Central at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jogc.
